Kanu Hawaii is turning 2!!

With the help and creativity of Goldyn Zimetbaum Daupin, a design was created for Kanu Hawaii’s 2nd Birthday.

The 2 is made up of Kanu Hawaii’s members.

Matsumoto and Clapperton Advertising is known as one of the top advertising agencies here in Honolulu, Hawaii.  They’ve won numerous awards and have an impressive client list.

The Job:  Mca-hawaii.com was created primary in flash.  To help create a better relationship with Mca-hawaii.com and Google and Yahoo, it was suggested to switch from a full flash site to either a hybrid or a full XHTML & CSS site.

Using the exact same design, we converted everything (except for the scrolling text bar on the homepage) to CSS and placed it into a Wordpress Template.  Javascript was used to replace the same flash effects.

Attention Family and Friends!!  Mix Plate Media with Kama’aina Pro Painters and Galmiche Entertainment has joined forces to celebrate the New Years in style!

We came up with a traditional name for the party – Resolutions.  Below are the business card sized invitations:

In addition to the invitation cards, we also made a 1 page full screen website using the same design.  It can be viewed at www.resolutions2010.com.

We were recently approached by Capone to handle all artwork for his upcoming show featuring Cedric the Entertainer.

We designed a few mock ups for the show. The flyer with the black background was chosen for print.

Ad 2 Honolulu recently held a social event showcasing Madmen; the best advertising TV show around.

We were approached by Ka Hana Pono Daycare’s Owner to create an eye-appealing logo that clearly communicates their services and represents Hawaii’s unique culture.

Here’s a short rundown of our logo design process:

• Step 1 – Research – We asked Ka Hana Pono Daycare’s Owner to provide us with as much information about their company as possible. We received a lot of information about this project including “Metaphors That Are Meaningful to Ka Hana Pono Daycare” which helped a lot!
• Step 2 – More Research – After learning more about Ka Hana Pono Daycare, we did our own research on competition and logos.
• Step 3 – Brainstorm – This can take up to a minute and as long as a month (It took about 3 to 4 days in this case)!
• Step 4 – Drafting – Once a concept is confirmed, this step is generally pretty smooth.
• Step 5 – Revisions and Testing – We showed Ka Hana Pono Daycare’s Owner our work. We created black and white, and color versions for testing.
• Step 6 – Big Party – The customer is satisfied and so are we!

Ka Hana Pono Daycare is a brand new company located in Haleiwa Town on the North side of Oahu. They’re open from 6 am to 6 pm and are currently offering daycare services to children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old (preschool ages).

Ka Hana Pono Daycare’s Long Term Vision -
“Our long term vision is that Ka Hana Pono Daycare will play a role in organizing, motivating, and assisting the community and community leaders, to accommodate the diverse childcare needs of the North Shore community & of our visitors.”
